Since antiquity, rhetoric has asked how people persuade others. Ethos, pathos, logos – credibility, emotion and argument – are still the foundation of every effective speech, every good conversation and every negotiation.
I studied General Rhetoric at the University of Tübingen. In my training I turn this knowledge into practical tools: for your next speech, the difficult customer conversation or the negotiation.
My guiding principle: communication is not only what is said, but also what is understood. That is why it pays to master the whole toolkit, not just the communicative hammer.
Typical situations
- You want to persuade, not just inform.
- Your arguments are good, but they do not land.
- Conversations drift off instead of reaching their goal.
- Difficult customer conversations or negotiations are coming up.
- You want to recognise what is said “between the lines”.
- Your voice and presence should radiate confidence, also on stage or in the media.
